Real Madrid senior players Sergio Ramos and Cristiano Ronaldo have both reacted to Wednesday’s humiliating defeat to North London outfit Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley stadium.

Spurs dealt Ronaldo and Ramos their second straight defeat on Wednesday, prompting talk of a difficult period for the club. And while Ronaldo who scored Los Blancos’ consolation on the night beleives Real Madrid did not deserve to lose 3-1 to Tottenham as their problems were not as they seemed, Ramos is of the opinion that the team will have those who are writing them off back in their place before long.

Ronaldo in a post-match interview faulted the home side’s opener, insisting the goal should not have stood as it was offside.

“When you’re losing, things don’t go the way you want them to and you want to help your teammates. It was a very big blow to go 3-0 down, although for me it wasn’t a good reflection of what happened on the pitch.

“Their first goal was offside, just like the other day. Our attitude is to run and fight, like it was at Girona.
“It’s a bad time for us because we’re losing and we’re used to winning. It’s a bad patch for us, but we want to change it and I’m sure we will. This is the beginning, we still have a lot of time to improve and I’m convinced that we will.
“There’s been no harm done, but bad runs aren’t good and we have to change things. We have to admit that we aren’t as we’d like to be. I don’t see things to be so bad, but we have to be confident.” Ronaldo said as quoted by Football Espana.

Los Blancos skipper, Sergio Ramos in his reaction as reported by MARCA said: “Real Madrid will put those who think we are dead in their place. The result is deceptive, I don’t take any credit away from Tottenham but we understand what pressure can do.

“We will come back and will do so very soon. Because of my experience of so many years being here, I know we have to keep calm. Despite what it happening, we are alive in our favourite competition. There were very good things we did that were tarnished by the result.” said the Spanish defender
