Following the endless attacks on Bloggers in Imo State, which in diverse times appeared to be subtle and in many occasions aggressive, popular Imo State Blogger and president of Imo State Bloggers’ association, Hardy Nwadike has weighed in to caution those indulging in the act.

This came a few days after a Facebook activist cum Presenter, Princesser took to her Facebook handle to slam State Bloggers whom she neither reached out to nor paid, for not publishing a recent post about her which some other blogs which aren’t State based did. This led to series of counter replies and bantering between her and another State based Blogger, Quingist.

Scene 3 Imo State (Class Room) DAY-NIGHT INT-EXT
Xters: ‘All these Imo State Bloggers’, ‘All these Imo State OAPs’, DJs, Artistes and You

Imagine leaving the classroom for three minutes and on coming back, one of your classmates is now the teacher. Will you be shocked? I won’t because all of us are meant to grow.

Last week some individuals had the smartest day of their lives with letters to ‘All these Imo State Bloggers’ and I must say that those articles were very amazing and I enjoyed them without bitterness.

The only problem is those were pages from the thesis we did together and are yet to submit and even defend. And by WE, I mean ‘All these Imo State Bloggers’, ‘All these Imo State OAPs’ and DJs. Permit me to use this long names.

When you look at the profile of most ‘All these Imo State OAPs’, it now reads BROADCAST JOURNALIST and I love this step up so much, but that is not the reason for this piece. This is a movie script, but then the dialogue will be in your head.

Like I said, I enjoyed what they wrote and blatantly told the bloggers who responded to them that they didn’t do well in their responses because there is no way you can respond to an intellectual piece with guns and bombs. You need to be their classmate to do so.

As much as we’re all in the media, most people often forget that the media is only free of charge for the owners. This momentary amnesia often comes when it works against them.

The reason I have ‘All these Imo State Bloggers’, ‘All these Imo State OAPs’ and DJs as casts I this drama is because we all do the same thing for the industry in view, the Entertainment Industry. We promote contents but in different ways. Bloggers do texts, OAPs do voices and DJs do sounds. Someone will now start arguing that sound and voice are the same? No they aren’t or just forget it.

COPY AND PASTE
This is one thing people are yet to understand and this crime of plagiarism is one everyone is guilty of. Radio stations talk about things in Lagos and Paris as if they have correspondents there. How many times do they say according to this website? Or do they think we don’t know bulk of their news contents come from the internet, same place bloggers get theirs. They won’t give credit in most cases because they feel it makes them little. It is same with their classmates bloggers. For them anyway. Not for me.

NEWS ELEMENTS
One pretty lady dropped a very educative piece about news and all the blablabla that makes it thick and authentic and I was wondering why the so called BROADCAST JOURNALISTS don’t apply these. How many radio stations in Imo State have even more then 5 field Journalists?

How many of the people blabbing online have in the last five years written about something they are not paid for, which is not them or their friends. Come on na, just end this bitterness already.

It is easier for one theoretically smart employee to blab about things he or she has never tried to.

I still have a list of OAP-Bloggers and the fact that I don’t want to start calling people out does not means we don’t know how much they have succeeded.

NO MONEY, NO LOVE

How many of ‘All these Imo State OAPs’ and ‘All these Imo State Bloggers’ or DJs run a free weekly exclusives of something like latest entertainment news from Imo State; Brand new songs from Imo State; Imo State top ten songs weekly. No one does it na.

But how man aside the DJs kill themselves over politics? With the answer, you’d know that we are all running a ‘NO MONEY, NO LOVE’ system. So hello class mates!!!

LOCAL CONTENTS AND FRUSTRATIONS

Two people who have seriously expressed their frustration on lack of local content promotion by ‘All these Imo State Bloggers’ are Jaycee and Princesser, but unfortunately, they are both the local contents which ‘All these Imo State Bloggers’ are not promoting.

When artistes release a song, they go to ‘All these Imo State OAPs’ in their offices, pay them for promotion, but when the later buys a new dress, takes pictures and posts with some motivational quotes, he/she then expects ‘All these Imo State Bloggers’ to jump on it. Is your brain paining you?

Even when your life is ‘contentless’ you still want people to talk about you, because you feel you’re the only celebrity in the classroom. This is crap na. Reason am na.

THE STUPIDITY
I have taken time to go through the timeline of plenty of ‘All these Imo State OAPs’ and unfortunately, none of them has a single thing about a single artiste on their timeline. Who have you helped with the followers you brag about on social media, when was the last time you made a simple sentence about someone else who hasn’t paid you?

I hate to be a bitter person shaaa, but even those who do ‘Leg-widening’ are here to brag about success and are suddenly teachers.

Since we are all classmates in the media, let me remind you that Promotions are paid for, but if you get involved in one tragedy, it is free. Even international stations will talk about you for free. You all do it na.

Shout out to ‘All these Imo State Bloggers’ and ‘All these Imo States OAPs’ and DJs who once in a while give back to the society by helping out talk about things for free and God bless you.

And artistes, please create a media budget, don’t just sit your ass at home, believing someone will talk about you, approach someone and plead with humility of you don’t have money. You don’t have to roll in gutter for them, just have a lasting humility and also give back when your craft start paying off.

FINALLY
Dangote still de find money. Facebook and Google still de pay for advert, why won’t you pay to be prompted.

Who de hell are you?

The end.

? ? ? ? Let me go and buy fuel for my horse
