Pandemonium broke out during the PDP’s visitation meeting which held on Saturday, July 21, at Igbosuku Village, Eti-Osa Local Government Area and the meeting which ended in disarray, led to the death of the PDP chairman in the Apapa LGA, Borishade Adeniyi.
The Police Public Relations Officer, CSP Chike Oti, explained on Sunday that a fracas broke out between contending factions of the party led by Moshood Salvador and Kehinde Fasasi respectively.
He added that five suspects had been arrested and transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department for further investigation.
“Pursuant to the directive, five of the principal suspects were arrested and they include the Eti-Osa LGA Chairman, Kehinde Fasasi; Lagos Island LGA Chairman, Rotimi Kujore; Mushin LGA Chairman, Alhaji Fatai Adele; Amuwo-Odofin LGA Chairman, Mr Ismail Abiola; and Surulere LGA Chairman, Dr Amos Fawole.” from punch
