Jose Mourinho has ordered Manchester United board to get him Barcelona Superstar Neymar, according to reports emerging from Spain as the Red Devil’s boss wants to make a big impact in the transfer market this summer.
Mourinho has already signed Victor Lindelof with Alvaro Morata and Nemanja Matic expected to follow soon but the Portuguese is not content and wants a superstar to be added to the squad this summer.
Manchester United are one of the few clubs on the planet able to afford Barcelona’s brilliant Brazilian in their squad.
Mourinho has made his wishes clear to Ed Woodward and that the forward would cost an eye-watering £177m.
United have been linked with Cristiano Ronaldo who is currently not happy with Real Madrid due to tax evasion allegation levied towards him, but Mourinho thinks Neymar makes better sense.
He’s younger, has more speed and potential and is said to have even more marketing power than Ronaldo.
Neymar is open to the idea and would consider coming out from Lionel Messi’s shadow.
Last month the 25-year-old discussed his future with Barcelona.
He said: “I want to be here and that’s why I’ve renewed.
“I’m happy with everything I’ve done here for the club. I’m happy with my teammates and I feel at home.
“It’s sad that Luis Enrique is leaving, we’ve been through a lot of good things together.
“I like the way he works as he wants to win and he’s one of the best coaches around.
“We wish him all the best and thank him for everything he has taught us. Now we must continue.”
Neymar could be on his way to Old Trafford if the deal is right, also considering Lionel Messi huge wage demands could force Barcelona to sell off the Brazilian in other to generate more fund and lessen the general salary scale of the club in general.
Barcelona want Ousmane Dembele and obviously, if the Camp Nou giants get their target he won’t be on the same salary scale as Neymar.
