In Nollywood no one is ever dating anyone,
at least, no one really agrees to dating
anyone until the truth becomes too big to be
kept under wraps.
This is what has happened in many
Nollywood love affairs that started on tricky
grounds. Same thing is what has happened
between Delta State-born Yoruba actress,
Awele Odita and NURTW (National Union of
Road Transport Workers) boss, Alhaji Ganiu
Ayinde Oyedepo, known as Koko Zaria, who
is married to another woman, Oyinda Ajoke
Oyedepo with two beautiful daughters.
Like a game of ping-pong, it was never
definite that there was an affair between the
motor park warlord and the beautiful petite
fair-complexioned actress. On several
occasions, they even denied any intimate
association, telling anyone who cared to
listen, it was merely a superior-subordinate
relationship, as Awele addressed Koko Zaria
as her boss in many of her social media
posts and never for once addressing him as
a lover.
All the while the whimper of a relationship
between the two was playing on the lips of
those close to them, the legal wife of Koko
Zaria, Oyinda, as some sources told
Potpourri , wasn’t too comfortable. It was
even rumoured that she openly challenged
the the actress, after which the secret affair
appeared to have gone with the wind.
But the lovebirds, by then, had gone too far
and no trouble from the first wife was any
wiser. In fact, it only sort of strengthened
the relationship as Koko Zaria stood his
ground as a man of means who is more
capable of marrying more than one wife.
According to sources, the first wife soon
accepted the actress, Awele Odita and was
one of the first person to congratulate her
when she put to bed, a bouncing baby boy
for the NURTW boss some days ago in the
US.
“ Congratulations to you sweetie, wow, it’s a
baby boy. Welcome to the world my prince.
Original Omo Olomu Aperan , the newest
baby in the US”, wrote Oyinda, the first wife
on her Instagram handle. Koko Zaria who is
said to be a doting father and a lavish
husband to his two daughters and first wife,
reciprocated by assuring Oyinda of his
never-dying love and thanked her for her
understanding in a post on Instagram.
“ Ajoke my first wife, my joy, my blood, my
sister, big mommy, thank you for accepting
everything. Thanks for your love and
support” he wrote to eulogise her. “I know
how to handle my home and nothing is
wrong with my home. We are one happy
family, and thanks to all my fans for the
love and support, your home won’t be
ruined,” he added to tell everyone, all is
well.
Since the actress, Awele Odita put to bed
there have been mixed reactions with some
accusing her of being a home wrecker but
most of her colleagues have thrown their
support behind her, using her picture and
that of the new baby as display picture on
their various social media platforms.
Potpourri joins others in congratulating the
Ibudo actress.
