The Imo Governorship Debate Organized By BBC Igbo scheduled to hold today, January 18, 2019 has suffered a major setback as expectations of Imolites and Spectators Worldwide seems far from being achieved as Four Contestants, Uche Nwosu – AA, Hope Uzodinma – APC, Ifeanyi Ararume – APGA and PDP Flagbearer, Emeka Ihedioha Shortlisted for the Highly anticipated Debate have simultaneously Boycotted the Event of the day aside Uche Nwosu. Also Read: Breaking: Imo State APC Suspends Governor Rochas Okorocha for ‘Gross Anti Party’ activitiesDespite the Lengthy list of Governorship Aspirants in Imo, it is worrisome to say that just Four were picked by BBC. This move which has since been widely perceived as a conspiracy to favour a few set of people while discouraging and indirectly disqualifying already qualified Contestants as against the interest of the generality of Ndi Imo.By this singular act BY AN INTERNATIONAL ESTABLISHMENT LIKE BBC, Alot of Questions comes to mind:

  1. Could it be that BBC Igbo Service is sold out?
  2. Could this be a move to project and impose a certain candidate on Imolites?
  3. Could the British Broadcasting Corporation which is undoubtedly the most credible media platform in the world, with a history, spanning close to 100 years of unbiased reportage, human development and educational interventions be losing it’s Integrity? Or
  4. Could this be a move to purposely disenfranchised a few

Whatsoever the answer to this could be, it doesn’t Project fairness and as such, does not have the interest of imolites hence, it’s recommendable to retreat.
