Earlier Monday, Wayne Rooney appeared at the Stockport Magistrates Court, where he was banned from driving for two years and given 100 hours’ community service after pleading guilty to a drink-driving charge.
But soon after his ugly looking court sketch made it to the internet, Twitter users made the best fun out of it. He was compared to a “British gangster” in the awkward drawing which shows him standing in the dock.
The former Manchester United striker who was banned on monday, was stopped while he was driving 29-year-old party girl Laura Simpson home from a night out in her Volkswagen Beetle in Wilmslow, Cheshire, at 2am on September 1. The car had a faulty brake light and his breath reading was 104mg per 100ml of blood. The legal limit is 35mg.
