The match between Ndiokwu FC and Umuebem FC in the ongoing Akabo League sponsored by Hon. Darlington Chimezie through his Faith of Darlington Foundation ended in a Deadlock courtesy to the drama that ensued.
According to the information released by the committee, Drama started when Umuebem FC stormed the match venue with Machineries which was against the rules of the game.
In addition to that, All the participating communities were meant to collect their Jerseys and kits but prior to the match, Umuebem were yet to collect theirs until the match day.
After it was all sorted out, the match kicked off off with Umuebem having a team of only eight players while their opponent had a complete team.
Not of to 20 minutes of play, the rest of the players came and the team was complete.
Ndiokwu FC having more skilled and tactical approach, dominated the game, leaving Umuebem FC to fall back. With more lapses and uncalculated Attacks, Umuebem FC which depended solely on their Goalkeeper bowed to pressure.
Trouble started when the Goalkeeper who already had a yellow, was awarded a 2nd yellow by the referee, making it a red card. He refused to leave the Pitch.
After much scuffle and disagreement, Umuebem Fc’s coach who was left with limited reservations, knowing he would definitely loose the game, rather than leaving the Pitch, took his complete team and left.
The match was finally Awarded to Ndiokwu FC who now joins Ndiuhu with 3points.
The next match will be between Star Studded Amii FC and The Young stars of Azuru/Umudike FC
