Though the online challenge has ended, which saw some teeming YBNL soldiers become millionaires, more ardent fans and followers are still hopping on the bandwagon while industry colleagues applaud his show of support through this initiative.
Basking in the euphoria of this new halo, the moment seems to be a shortlived one as a fan has dug up the debate on Olamide’s rap ability. Adepegba Ololade who goes by the alias Lollymade is an indigene of Ogun State and word has it that he is quite revered in the circles of his host locale. Lollymade happened to be on air at a radio interview with Rockcity FM in Abeokuta where he seized the opportunity and made bold to challenge Olamide to a 1 hour rap battle. Lollymade said:
“I have always loved Olamide and had to prove to him my worth and make other rappers sit tight by challenging him down to a 60mins rap battle”.
He also revealed how passionate he has always felt to be on stage with some of Nigeria’s finest rappers but would prefer a rap battle with Olamide especially.
Olamide is yet to comment on this development, and it might not be unconnected with the fact that he is yet to get wind of this info. Even though we totally doff our hats at Ololade’s daring move, one has got to wonder if really he can breath through the fire of Nigeria’s street king? Or shall it be the other way round, perhaps?
